    STC – Culinary Teaching Kitchen

    North Port, Florida

In 2015, Jim Richards, Jr was recruited to provide design services on the second installment of Suncoast Technical College’s culinary teaching kitchen in North Port, Florida.

A smaller footprint than it’s main campus, the kitchen includes a appropriately sized dry storage area and walk-in cooler/freezer. Adjacent to the storage area is a prep area with all the necessities including a twenty quart and forty quart mixers, slicer, prep sink, food processor and baker’s table. The facility includes and open kitchen concept bistro with an island cooking suite, salad and sandwich station, expediting counter and chef’s table.

The facility would not be complete without a thirty-student culinary teaching lab complete with range, combi oven and blast chiller.
